  • Autumn Update

    Dear children, teenagers, and parents

Did you also have a great summer time? We hope you could enjoy relaxing vacations.

Great news: Air conditioning will be installed in our premises, and we look forward to welcoming you next summer in more comfortable temperatures. Due to the construction work, we will keep our practice closed on October 8, 2025. On the following two days, we will be open with reduced capacity, and with limited parking options.

We also have more plans to share for the coming months:

    • From September, we will be offering consultations on possible desensitization treatments during the autumn season. Please make an appointment (e.g. online) if you are interested.
    • From October, the RSV vaccination is recommended for all infants born after April 2025 (learn more). Please remember to book your appointment early.
    • In November, the flu season begins. The Influenza vaccination is recommended for everybody who is in direct contact with infants under 6 months of age (more information and recommendations). Parents and siblings are welcome to register with us for their vaccination. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for questions.
    • In order to have more time for treating acute infections during the colder season, developmental check-ins for 4 to 14 years old children will preferably be deferred to next spring.

See you soon at Kinderarztpraxis Kilchberg!

  • Preparing for vaccinations

In addition to improved hygiene and nutrition, vaccination programs are responsible for extended live expectancy and social progress. To make vaccinations as pleasant as possible for you, we provide a few resources to help you prepare:

    • You can listen to the stories of Tara & Pips as audio books through an app. There are many options for topics and languages available. Ask us for an access code for more stories during your next visit.
    • Parents can find information and tips in this talk series (in German).
    • How you can help yourself with vaccinations: Information for older children and for parents (in German).
  • Parking

Please do not park on our neighbors’ private spots or in front of their garages. Whenever our patient parking left from the entrance is full, you can find public parking lanes downhill, along the left side of Paradiesstrasse (starting at the blue hydrant, please don’t block entrances). Alternatively, you can find marked spots in Mönchhofstrasse. Thank you!

  • Automatic transcription through speech recognition

Our practice participates in a pilot project operated by Intonate GmbH which enables automatic discussion transcripts of consultations. This frees up time on our side to focus better on our patients. In this first phase, we can test and help to shape the new system. This is why it is possible that we ask you whether you allow us to run this system in the background while we conduct our consultation. We would appreciate your consent very much, and can reassure you that the confidentiality of the collected data will be granted at all times.
